Dr. Mark Bodnar
Dr. Bodnar graduated from the University of Western Ontario, with his Bachelor of Science degree in 1990. He then continued his education with a 4-year degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating in 1994. After graduation Dr. Bodnar moved to Nova Scotia and founded the Bedford Chiropractic Clinic, building the Clinic into a busy practice.
Involved in many professional activities outside of the Clinic Dr. Bodnar has acted as an ergonomic consultant, examiner for the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board, lecturer at various health and wellness seminars as well as providing chiropractic services at various local, provincial and National level sporting events.
Dr. Bodnar has completed a three-year specialty program in chiropractic rehabilitation in Toronto and was accepted as a Fellow of the College of Chiropractic Rehabilitation Sciences (Canada) in November 2003.
When not at the office you can find Dr. Bodnar busy with his four young children.

Angela Weeks & The Bedford Massage Therapy Clinic
Angela Weeks founded the Bedford Massage Therapy Clinic in January 1997. Angela holds a B.Sc. In Kinesiology from Dalhousie University as well as her 2300-hour massage therapy accreditation from the D'arcy Lane Institute in Ontario. Upon graduation, Angela wrote the CMTO exams and is registered in both Nova Scotia and Ontario. Angela has completed additional courses in myofascial release technique, joint mobilization and sports injury massage. In 1996, Angela had the chance to work with athletes at the summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia.
Angela hobbies include sailing in the summer months and downhill skiing in the winter.

Deborah Covert
Deborah Covert started with the Bedford Massage therapy clinic in September 2002 as our 3rd massage therapist. Deborah did her training at Northumberland College in Halifax after spending a year at St. Mary's University in a business program. Deborah completed her CMTO exams in Toronto, Ontario and is now registered in both Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Deborah grew up in Dartmouth, NS and has been involved in local athletics her whole life, particularly Ringette and Soccer which she continues to play.

Valerie
Valerie joined the Bedford chiropractic team in February of 2002 as a chiropractic receptionist and one year later was promoted to the position of office manager. Valerie majored in psychology while pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree at Dalhousie University. Since then she has had experience in retail and office management. Valerie also has a strong interest in travel, a passion that has led her professionally to the travel industry. Valerie says her biggest challenge and most rewarding "job" is being a Mom to her 2 children.

Shawna
Shawna Lucas joined the clinic staff in March 2003. With an advanced diploma in Public Relations from Nova Scotia Community College, Shawna has taken the title of Patient Care Coordinator and oversees both keeping in touch with patients and the publication of our quarterly clinic newsletter. Shawna graduated from St. Stephen's University in New Brunswick with a BA in Art History. Shawna is an active volunteer in her community, working with youth in the Sackville area. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude are evident in everything in which she is involved.
For fun Shawna taps into her creative side through the art of tiled mosaics.

Kristen
Kristen joined the clinic in February 2004 as the Office Administrator. Kristen grew up in Ontario but spent the past two years in Vancouver. Kristen is a graduate of George Brown College in Toronto where she completed their Small Business Management Program. Kristen spent two years at the University of Western Ontario before transferring to Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. She is currently completing her BA in English Literature through correspondence. Upon completion of her BA, Kristen plans to pursue a designation in Accounting.
In her spare time, Kristen is currently writing and illustrating a piece of children's literature.
